To get pH readings directly in the turfgrass surface, first make a pilot hole with the pilot hole maker (included). Next, spray distilled water with a spray bottle (not included) into the hole and then insert the probe. The holes can be made at different depths in the soil in order to measure pH at different root depths. Liquid solutions can be sampled by just inserting the probe and reading the results in the app.

The unit uses an ISFET pH sensor (Ion-Sensitive Field-Effect Transistor). This is a solid-state device used to measure the acidity or alkalinity and is modern and a more durable alternative to traditional glass electrode pH sensors.

You can connect up to 6 probes for simultaneous wireless measurements. Receive real time notifications whenever the value of the pH is out of range. Unit includes meter, pilot hole maker, brush to clean the probe, wireless base and charging cord, pH4 and pH7 solutions for calibration and a hard carrying case.
